Her Master's thesis focused on the communication of so-called wicked problems, particularly complex issues, with a specific focus on the disposal of highly radioactive waste and Autonomous Driving. After completing her studies, Nina worked as a research associate in science communication.

What do you find interesting about transdisciplinary research?

"I had my first exposure to transdisciplinarity as a student assistant during my Master's studies. In the TRANSENS project on the disposal of highly radioactive waste, I had the opportunity to experience transdisciplinary work and observe its relevance. With my Master's thesis on the communication of wicked problems, I deepened my interest and simultaneously recognized the importance of according communication. As a part of the tdAcademy, I am now looking forward to gaining a new perspective and contributing to transdisciplinary research.'

What is your role in the tdAcademy project and what do you find exciting about it?

"As a research assistant at the interface between topic line 3 and 4, I am primarily concerned with the context-dependency of formats and methods. I am very much looking forward to the professional exchange, the joint evaluation work as well as new insights for transdisciplinary work."
