About the Conference

The TRANSFER project, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research (2022–2025), and the Living Labs Incubator of RWTH Aachen University cordially invite the Living Lab community, including scientists and engineers from across the disciplinary spectrum, city makers and managers, social and technical innovators, entrepreneurs, industry representatives and policy-makers, to join us in Aachen from 24 to 26 June 2024 for an international gathering. Over the course of three days, we will explore the topic of knowledge transfer conceptually and in practices.  Tailored to community needs and geared towards inspiration, learning and exchange, the program will include keynotes, academic and practitioners’ presentations as well as interactive sessions, on-site visits and art-based exploration. Please download the Call for Conference Contributions for further information. Submit your proposals by 15 March 2024.

About the International Training School

Around the conference, from 24–28 June 2024, they will also organise an international Training School on the same theme in collaboration with Politecnico di Milano and ENoLL. The Training School is specifically designed for master’s and PhD students of different disciplines as well as practitioners keen to talk about and to reflect on their experiences. In interactive workshops, reflexive sessions and group challenges, we will address and explore Living Lab methods, formats and indicators for knowledge transfer. Please download the Call for Participation for further information. Apply until 15 March 2024.
